The Blend will release an album for the first time (Wheaton Wire, 2015)
"Although The Blend devotes six hours a week to performing and singing, stabilizing themselves has proven to be difficult, since funds are hard to come by and notoriety is a long corner to turn. This, however, has not stopped the group from raising enough money and devoting enough time to commit to an album, which will be released next semester."
For Wheaton a cappella group, a noteworthy event (The Sun Chronicle, 2014)
"They're quirky, they're energetic and they're about to compete on one of a cappella's biggest stages."
Student Vocal Groups Prepare (Wheaton Wire, 2011)
Wheaton gets fabulous! (Wheaton Wire, 2011)
"The Blend, posing as the Lady Callers for the night, looked like a time line of drag throughout the century, with members in costumes from 1920s flapper to the modern hipster. The inaugural performance of "F**k You" by Cee Lo Green was spunky and fun, hopefully signaling its incorporation into the group's regular repertoire."
Wheaton A Cappella: The Melody Lingers On (Wheaton Quarterly, 2011)
"Known for their quirky song choices and on-stage antics, members of the Blend dress in costumes that fit their show’s theme. At their fall 2010 “fruit jam,” costumes included a banana, a bunch of grapes, and a juice box."
Wheaton Drag Show Review (Wheaton Wire, 2010)
"Somewhat expectedly, the Blend resembled extras from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Needless to say, their visual display of pink hair, feather boas, lipstick and extravagant eye shadow put the rest of the a-capella groups to shame."
